Description Practicing physicians, scientists, and advanced practice professionals who are dedicated to understanding the causes and improving the clinical management of thyroid disease and thyroid cancer and focus on thyroid-oriented activities, such as research, teaching, and/or clinical time devoted to thyroid-oriented work. (MD, PhD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD, or foreign equivalent) Corresponding members are similar to Active members but cannot meet requirements of Active membership because they reside outside of the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Corresponding members are eligible for Active membership but must be able to attend annual meeting. An advanced practice professional such as Nurse Practioner, Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Doctors of Pharmacy or other non-physician healthcare provider that specialize in treating thyroid patients. Allied health specialists are eligible for Active membership. Fellows or residents in a training program or students working towards their MD or PhD. (must submit verification of program with application)
